Saying goodbye to back pain
More than 50% of the population in Germany suffer from back pain. There are, however, many causes for their problem:
The most important causes are, among others ...
- Bad posture and the resulting relieving posture
- Tense muscles
(e.g. through lack of exercise, excessive acidity through bad diet, stress).
Bad posture and tense muscles have various consequences:
- The spine becomes misaligned. It can lead to a scoliosis.
- The joints have a different amount of pressure on them and become strained. This strain can lead to a one-sided degeneration of the joints.
- The organs cannot be supplied with the necessary vital components. Any misalignment in the spine has an effect on the spinal nerves and, thus,
on the organs they innervate.
- The meridians (energy streams) are blocked. The energy supply is no longer optimal.
There are many ways to stop this cycle.
The main precondition is that the pelvis is aligned and there is no difference in leg length. A physiological
(non-anatomic) pelvic misalignment and the resulting difference in leg length can, in most cases, be
eradicated by simple stretching techniques and exercises.
Techniques
The most important techniques for re-balancing are:
-
according to Dieter Dorn:

The longer leg is bent so that the thigh and torso are at a 90° angle. The leg is then stretched out
and brought back to a horizontal position. Throughout this exercise pressure is put on the thigh towards the head (by hand or using a towel).
-
according to Rolf Ott:

The longer leg is bent and held. The shorter leg hangs down and is relaxed. The longer leg is pulled towards the chest for 60 seconds.
Further self-help possibilities
- Strengthening the tummy muscles
It is important that these exercises are done without any pressure on the back or spine.
- Ergonomics / posture
Check the body posture when standing and sitting.
- Relaxation
E.g. Yoga, autogenic training or Tai Chi. Medicinal baths, essential oils and aromatherapy to rebalance body, mind and spirit.
- Diet
A balanced diet taking the acid / alkaline status into consideration.
